Hello there! It has been a while since I posted. There are a couple of things going on. 1st, I still don’t have a job but I have had 2 calls today for managment positions. One is seasonal and the other is not. So we will see. Another thing, cookbooks for Bethany are being sold. They are $12 per book, will be in before Christmas, 250 recipes and the money goes to help Bethany pay for her fair share for band, which is $500 a year. Next is the fact that me and my mom are now sharing a car because her’s needs a new engine. Anyone wanna help pay for it??? :) Between taking and picking Bethany up and then going to games, places I go, etc it can get kind of tough. I finished the 1st copy of Midnight Rain I just have to get it on my laptop, which I finally got! Oh yea, I am in Biology now, which I am not liking one bit but it is only for 6 weeks so hopefully all will go well. My brother has until December 10th to pay his fines now so he is not in jail at this moment, which is great because his daughters birthday is coming up. I finished reading the Beautiful and the Damned the other day and now I am working on The Pact. That is all for now! Bye Bye!

Good afternoon! Today’s post is going to be short and sweet. I am tired. Nothing much happened today. I did write a Halloween poem to the tune (I guess that’s what you would call it) of The Night Before Christmas. Hope you all have a good night!!

Sweden_Stockholm_PortGood afternoon everyone. Another late post but better late than never. First I want to say RIP Patrick Swayze. He was a great man and actor!!

The picture is the harbor of  Stockholm, Sweden. It can be found at http://www.earth-photography.com/Countries/Sweden/Sweden_Stockholm_Port.html.

The next thing on my agenda is my opinion. Don’t like it?? I don’t know what to tell you…Leave a comment or something.

Yesterday I was looking at a celebrity discussion board and this person put up a post for a petition to get Ellen DeGeneres off the air. They stated it was for reason we all know but never actually put down why. He said he didn’t want his girls to be influenced by her. Now most of the time I am not very vocal with certain opinions but there are a few subjects I feel very deeply about and this happens to be one of them.

I want to tell this man that if you are going to post that, be man enough to state reasons! And is it really affecting your life? I mean really, shouldn’t you be worried about something more important like your daughters education or the welfare of your family, maybe?

We all have our opinions but people are so un-accepting and it is not doing a damn thing but making it worse. We all have our prejudice but I truly believe a person should be judged on who they are, not who they decide to be with or what they choose to believe in. Most of us in the world are selfish. We would rather think of ourselves. Now I do think when it comes to family you should put them first but that is another discussion. We are greedy people. We waste our time worrying about things that don’t concern us. I have heard people say about abusers or rapists or terrorists that they should get treated the same way. Does it justify treating them that way? I can’t answer that. There are morals in that. It is not just black and white, gray covers most of that area. Does that make you a bad person for feeling that way? No, of course not, but when you judge people who are different than you, do you deserve to get treated that way in return?

I, for one, applaud Ellen and all the other people who find the strength to be who they really are and the people who stand up for them. When it comes down to it, religion plays a part also, but you get what you give. You have a problem with it? Take it up with someone who is also willing to waste their time because I am not.

Not all Muslims are bad because of what happened, not all gays, bisexual, transgendered, lesbians, etc are bad. Yes, there are people in every group who are truly bad people but don’t judge a whole group on a few bad apples. You might just end up missing out on the best friend you could ever have.

In conclusion, judge a person on who they are. Look past prejudice and you might just find that they are people just like you and me and they feel just the same. Patience is a virtue?? So is acceptance.

Riddarholmskyrkan at Sunset. Stockholm, SwedenHello everyone, if any one reads this. No one has been looking at these lately. I usually get up in the morning at post a blog but it has been crazy the last couple of days. It has been so long since I have had a lot to do that now I feel crazy!! I am still doing this school group project which is due today and I have to do my discussion board before 1:00am and get it turned in. I think I still have two weeks left in this class and let me tell you I will be happy when it is over!!

I am helping put in recipes for a cookbook for my sisters band. I think there are going to be 250 recipes. The book is $12 so if anyone wants to help support the band just let me know and I’ll order it for you! I am still busy putting items on Craig’s List and I have only sold one thing. It is a lot of work when you are putting so much stuff up there and 150 movies are a lot to go through.

Still debating on dying my hair. If I do it will be a red color like before, nothing too off the wall. There have been two times that I have dyed my hair and it turned out really red and once where it looked black. I had to bleach my hair for the latter one and redye it, which was great. I wrote two poems last night but I haven’t sat down and written any more on Midnight Rain. I have ideas for this other book and it seems to be getting in my way of finishing the current one!

The picture today is located in Stockholm, Sweden. It is the Riddarholmskyrkan at sunset. It can be found at http://www.terragalleria.com/europe/sweden/stockholm/picture.swed5687.html.

Alright, Charity of the Day…http://www.care2.com/click-to-donate/pets/. I don’t know if I have done this one before or not. Either way it is still a great cause…Help the animals!

Ansel Adams Oak Tree, Sunset CityHello there everyone! Hope you are having a good day. I put ALOT of stuff on Craig’s List last night. Hopefully someone will buy something! I have to go through 150 movies to make sure they work :( We have lots of Disney movies,VHS’s).

I am thinking about dying my hair again. I can see the difference between my regular hair and the dyed color and I think the dyed color looks better. I don’t know what color though. I usually choose something with a red tint to it.

Me and my mom went out to look at laptops today. Found out that they are doing away with Vista, which makes me happy, but it wont be until December. Then when they change it, we get a free upgrade to windows 7 or something like that.

Okay so I am still thinking about going to the try outs but I don’t know yet. I am kind of nervous about doing it and I have acted before but not recently. Do you think I could do it???

Charity of the Day!! This website actually has three different ones to click on. You can only click on one a day so it is up to you! http://improvingyourworld.org/

Rustyn UsherRustynUsherMy sister had her little boy yesterday! He is handsome, which you can see from the pictures I put up! His name is Rustyn Usher. He was 8 lbs 10 oz 21 1/2 inches born 9/10/09 ar 3:52 pm! So congrats to her and her husband on their new baby boy!

It seems that at night is when my thoughts seem to come alive. That is when I have my best ones, I figure. I need to keep paper and a pen by my bed, but then again I would probably be up most of the night writing down the ideas that swim in my head. I did get up at 6 am this morning just to write something down.

I think maybe I should go to school for journalism or something like that. Something creative. I love music but I am not really good at anything. I did take voice lessons in middle school and was in the choir. I also sung in the Duke Childrens Choir two times and was in a show with Jeff Foxworthy, Larry the Cable Guy and Ron White. The thing I like about music is it allows us to express our inner most feelings with everyone listening but no one really gets the true meaning of the song.

Supernatural last night was great. You know that feeling you used to get Christmas Eve. The excited one that the next morning you were going to wake up to presents? Yea well that’s how I felt last night, like a little kid! I am still struggling with the school assignment. For once I am glad it is a group assignment. One of the girls is trying her best to explain it to me but it isn’t clicking with me! It is very frustrating for me and I expect her too. I can’t contribute much if I don’t understand it!

Alright Charity of the Day time! Today the link is to give books to children who can’t get any. The link…http://www.theliteracysite.com/clickToGive/home.faces?siteId=6…your job…go click!

Ansel Adams The California Street FirehouseWell good afternoon! It is, again a late blog. I have been trying to figure out how to do my group project despite the fact that I am completely lost! It is a good thing I am not going into accounting! I think I have decided that after I get my associates that I might just go to another college for writing or something creative. Business is a good degree to have but what am I going to specific do with it?

I think my friend has given me her sickness. I don’t appreciate that at all! :) My grandmother is going to see a writer talk, I forgot his name but he is popular. She invited me but between me not feeling good and this project I opted to stay home. Plus the season premier of Supernatural comes on tonight so I am going to watch that!

I was thinking about movies yesterday and was trying to figure out which Halloween movie was the best. Not the Freddy Halloween movies just scary movies in general. Now days most movies are just gory and I don’t really get into that. The one I decided on is not a scary movie, it is very funny but it fits in with the theme of Halloween, dressing up. So my Halloween movie is The Rocky Horror Picture Show. The site is not letting me make a poll so I am going to skip it for today.

The picture to day is by Ansel Adams titled The California Fire House. To find it go to http://www.anseladams.com/index.asp?PageAction=VIEWPROD&ProdID=2020.

Kerik Kouklis Niagara on the Lake, Ontario, CanadaGood afternoon everyone. I am posting a little late today. Before I even got out of bed my sister’s friend text me and needed my help so I went out and done that and then went out to run errands with my mom.

I worked a little on Midnight Rain last night but not much. I usually can write a lot one night and then not write anything of substance for a couple of days when then I return to writing. My pregnant sister is still pregnant and the others are not :) At least not to my knowledge.

Useless side note: Me and mom have determined that despite the fact that I am taller than her, her legs are longer than mine. On the other side, my arms are longer than hers. Not that any of you will use this information just thought I would throw that in there.

My best friends birthday is 17 days away and I still don’t know what we are going to do. No one has given me any help except her, which isn’t a bad thing but oh well. Has anyone noticed that when you sing in the car you sound better than when you sing somewhere else, or at least you think you do. Maybe it is just me. I think I sound great in the car but get me to my house and I don’t sound as good. A recommendation for listeners would be KT Tunstall. Great voice. It is different but smooth! Right now I am watching The Rocky Horror Picture Show. We watch it every year on Halloween and finally own the movie! Me and mom have figured out who was going to be who! lol I am Magenta, my sister is Columbia, mom is Janet and dad is Frank! Wouldn’t that be a sight! There is a try out for One Tree Hill in November not far from where I am. I was thinking about doing it. What do you think?

The picture today is another one by Kerik Kouklis. This one is titled Niagara on the Lake, Ontario, Canada. It can be found at http://www.anseladams.com/index.asp?PageAction=VIEWPROD&ProdID=724.

Charity of the day time! This one is free this time. It is to stop violence against women. http://www.care2.com/click-to-donate/violence-against-women/. When you click it will tell you how many other people have also joined in the fight against violence.

In the words of James Morrison:

Kerik Kouklis UntitledGood day everyone! Hope everyone is feeling good! My sister has yet to have her little boy. I have been told that if she doesn’t go into labor with him by Friday they are going to induce her. I’ll keep you updated. My cousin has a blog. She is going to college to be a teacher. Jordancourtni.blogspot.com Go check it out. My grandfather had his surgery today and has just came out okay so hopefully everything else will go smoothly.

Last night I had supper at my oldest sister’s house. She grilled salmon with a side of dill sauce and we had potatoes and corn with it. It was great! I enjoyed spending some one on one time with her! Good luck to her and her job.

So no one has said anything about my costume idea with my niece. My friend thinks the costume I showed her is cute but she hasn’t said anything about my niece dressing up as a ladybug/bumble bee (It is really all up to my niece and whatever she wants to be).  I worked on my book a little last night but didn’t get far. I finished a scene/chapter, whatever you want to call it, and then stoped. My creative juices were  not flowing yesterday! I did watch a show about the King brothers who were accused of killing their father and setting the house on fire when they were just 13 and 14 years old. They claimed later on that the pettifile that was their ‘friend’ was the one who did it. Now the boys are 20 and 21 and are out in the world! They seem like they are trying to get their life back together but they are struggling finding a job, mostly because they are ex-cons. They are both in college right now though and trying their hardest. Good luck to Alex and Derek King!

Charity of the day http://www.goodsearch.com/default.aspx This site is actually a search engine. What you do is put in the charity you would like to raise money for (There is a link that will list all of the charity’s, you can also look for a charity by state) and then search. There are a few things that don’t count like searching for pictures, videos, well known websites (like myspace, ect) and some other things. To find the full list all you have to do is go to FAQ and it is all in there. You can also put it as your home page, which  I recommend doing.

The picture today is by Kerik Kouklis. It is an untitled work and you can find it at http://www.anseladams.com/index.asp?PageAction=VIEWPROD&ProdID=536. I think I am going to make another page and put the links up there. I will keep the ones for the month on the main page and put the ones from the past months on the other page. Just a FYI for the ones looking for the links.

In the words of KT Tunstall:

“You’re asking for friendly advice and remaining in permanent crisis. Affection is yours if you ask but first you must take off your mask. When you’re back’s turned I’ve decided I’ll throw it away just like I did.”

Calla LilyGood morning, afternoon, evening. Whatever you want to call it. I am inside typing to you on this lovely day! I hung out clothes despite the threat of rain from the darkening clouds. I’ll be rushing to bring them in if it does start to pour. Just a little bit of advise, don’t take benadryl at 2:30 am because you can’t sleep, you will sleep until 1 pm.

As soon as I got up today I started cleaning due to the fact that everyone is coming home today. My sister is also due today. I have yet to hear any news about it so she either hasn’t had him yet or she is still in labor.  Last night me and my friend rented Friday the Thirteenth, Killer Cut. I honestly don’t think there is a way to kill Jason. It is ridiculous! I mean really, will he go ahead and die already? I think the only reason most of the people are going to see it is to see if he will really die at the end. It is like Saw. They said that the last one was going to be the last but I have a hard time believing that. The ending was left wide open for another movie! And it might be a couple of years but I think they will do it. Once you have seen the first two, you know the jist of all of them and it becomes sort of monotonous because you know basically what is going to happen. And all it is is gory. I am not big on gory, I’d rather watch something that makes me jump or scream than something that is bloody!

Yesterday for lunch I ate with my grandmother and some of her friends. The company was good, the food was good and the talk was good. I met a trucker who has just returned from six weeks on the road and a guy who had written a book along with a few others. It was interesting. I have yet to work on my book any more due to my friend staying the last two nights with me so I’ll pick back up on that tonight.

I was supposed to call my niece at 1 pm yesterday but forgot so I have to figure out a way to get in touch with her. I have been informed that I can’t decorate until, at the earliest, October 1st. I was going to pick up my niece and nephew and bring them so they can help me but I am tempted to do the majority of it by myself and just get them to help with some small things. I found an outfit I want to get. I have to shop around and see if I can find one at a better price. It is a ladybug/bumble bee reversible outfit. It is a little dress and it has little wings. Wouldn’t it be cute if my little niece dressed up as either a lady bug or bee with the dots or stripes and we could match?? Okay that might have been a little corny but I think it is cute, mostly because of her being there. That is my little girl. She can be a bee. That is what I called her when she was first born, my little bee.

Okay, the charity of the day isn’t a free one but a noble one. It is Love146 and I actually heard about it from my friend. It is a site to help end child sex slaves and exploitation. http://www.love146.org/pages/page.asp?page_id=21460. I think that is important. Even if you don’t give anything, pass it on to a friend and eventually someone will give something.

The picture above is by Jeffrey Conley named Calla Lily. It is in the Ansel Adams collection and can be found at http://www.anseladams.com/index.asp?PageAction=VIEWPROD&ProdID=2312.

In the words of John Lennon:
